I am a Hoosier native and graduate of Indiana University, in fact I saw Bobby Knight throw "the Chair" with my own eyes.  After receiving a degree in Telecommunicaitons from IU, I worked 10 years in the corporate world as a producer/director - first for a national cable company and then a large insurance corporation.  I started my own business, Banner Images, in 1998 offering both photography and video production services.

Like a lot photographers, the work of Ansel Adams opened my eyes to the beauty of B&W photography.  Many of the images I am most proud of were created with Kodak T-Max or High Speed Infared film.  In my personal work, I find myself being drawn most often to buildings and urban landscapes.  This probably proves the point that "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree."  Both of my parents are architects.

Another passion is travel.  I blame this on television programs that I watched while growing up like Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom and Nature on PBS.  I've been fortunate to have seen many parts of the world traveling with my wife and through work.  Places I've been on shoots in recent years that I hope to return someday with the entire family are Jerusalem and Africa.

As I was making the transition to self-employment, I spent many hours considering possible names for my business.  Since I do both photography and video production, I needed to find a name that worked for either type of service.  But I also felt like my business name should reflect my faith in God.  As is the case for me with many of the most important questions in life, I found the answer in the bible.
