Panasonic AJ-HDX900

 Breaking News...

There is a new High Definition camera in Indianapolis. It is a Panasonic AJ-HDX900 DVCPROHD camera with a Fujinon 13x4.5 wide-angle HD lens w/ 2X extender.

The HDX900 has the same 2/3" CCD set as the Panasonic Varicam shooting not only in 720P but in 1080i as well. Recording up to 33 minutes on medium size DVCPRO cassette (66m tape stock) the camera has the ability to shoot 24P, 24PA, 30P and 60P & 60i as well as 25P, 50P & 50i for European video standards. The camera also has the ability to output SD (standard definition) video directly from the camera either as composite video or as a DVCPRO firewire signal.

My dayrate as a DP with the camera is $1,600. The HDX900 is also available for rent and comes with a tripod, Panasonic 8.4" HD LCD monitor and Anton Bauer four position charger with two Hytron 140 and two Dionic 90 batteries.

With nearly 20 years experience shooting corporate and broadcast productions, I've worked for a wide variety of clients and am comfortable shooting and lighting in whatever style your program requires.   

I spent the first 10 years of my career as a producer/director.  Now working primarily as a videographer, I approach every shoot thinking about the communication objective or marketing strategy my footage will be used to support.  I then look for ways to enhance that message visually with the lighting, the way the subject is framed and/or the B-roll I shoot.
